Message From The Author
This project started ten years ago when I was a struggling father with a young family. I had a new demanding job where I was working 50+ hours a week, I was in graduate school, and we just had our second child. Needless to say, I was overwhelmed. One day I was studying for a school project, and we were doing a case study on how a business went from the bottom to the top of their industry.
As I was reading through their story, a light bulb went off. I could adapt many of the same things this business applied to my own family and their struggling leader, which was me. As I studied more, I found so many proven processes that could be adapted from the business world to strengthen the most essential organization in the world, your family.
This book a continuation of my capstone assignment when I finished my MBA. The business plan adapted to give your family purpose and power. I know any family out there struggling can adopt these simple, proven principles and exercises to increase their families’ happiness. If your family is in a good place, this is just what you need to go from good to great.
I know these principles work because I have seen them put into play in countless successful organizations. More importantly, I know these principles work because we continue to apply them in my own family.
