Family Is A Team Sport

Life is not a solo sport. We need a team to make it through.

When the family is done right, it is a perfect organization. A family is a group of people with a shared vision that works together to achieve that vision. This is what a team is. We need everyone in our family to make each person in the family successful.

To achieve anything of value in this life, we need other people to become the best version of ourselves. We need to look outside ourselves. We can only get so far alone then we need those around us to help us take the next steps. This is done in how we serve others and how they serve us.

The family is the perfect organization because, in order for us to create the right culture in our family, we need to serve and be served. Service is the key to a great team, and it is the key in our family as well. There are certain aspects of our potential that are only achieved when we are not looking toward ourselves.

When we serve others, we become more than we could have been if we are only in our little bubble. In this way, very few things are entirely selfless because even if we don’t get something from service, we grow as a person. You and your family need this kind of growth. Great teams grow together in service. Your family can be that great team.
